The town of Sharpsburg is located in Eastern North Carolina on US Highway 301 between Rocky Mount and Wilson. It is home to approximately 2,500 residents inside the corporate limits. Sharpsburg is different from most other cities and towns in North Carolina, in that, it has three counties in its jurisdiction. Residents in Sharpsburg could live in Nash, Edgecombe, or Wilson County.
Sharpsburg is a small community that has grown steadily over the past decade. The town invests in staff positions, as well as equipment, to better serve its customers. One of the underlying goals of the Sharpsburg administration and elected officials is to hold fast to the idea of a small, close-knit community without sacrificing in economic growth and provided services.
