Regular Meeting - November 2, 2006
Mayor Sheila Williams called the meeting to order and invocation was offered by James Walker.
Tracy Sullivan, Town Clerk called the Roll.
COMMISSIONERS PRESENT
Commissioner Cheryl O’Neal, Commissioner David Pride, Commissioner Michael Jones, Commissioner William Sharpe and Commissioner Lewis. Town Administrator, Sonya Meeks and Town Attorney, David Orcutt was also present.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES AND APPROVAL TO PAY THE BILLS
Motion was made by Commissioner Jones to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on October 5, 2006. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Sharpe.
Motion was made by Commissioner Pride to approve to pay the bills and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Lewis.
Bank Balances were read by Tracy Sullivan, Town Clerk.
CITIZENS PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS
- a. Moses Hayes - Complained that he received his utility bill and it was 8,000.00. He did
- � � � not receive a revised bill.
b. Sam Pridgen - He wanted to thank Cliff for cleaning up the Park on West Main Street and
Chief Bissette for patrolling the area.
DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS
Electric Department - Cliff Wallace reported that they had installed about 800 new meters. NCDOT gave Sharpsburg permission to go ahead with Well Project. He also announced that the Town Employees would be working on November 18, 2006 splitting wood for people who needed it to heat this winter.
Water/Sewer - Robert Smith said the water and sewer department repaired a water leak on an empty lot and found a infiltration problem.
Parks and Recreation - Robert Smith reported that they had repaired the Walking Park that the past hurricane had destroyed.
Police - Chief Bissette read the Police report.
Administrative - Sonya Meeks read the administrative report and made the following announcements: Operation Blue Christmas, Cookies and Cocoa with Santa, Sharpsburg Thanksgiving Banquet for Senior Citizens and the Wood Drop Program.
Mayor Williams announced the Agenda Meeting would be on December 7, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. and the Regular Meeting would be December 7, 2006 at 7:30 p.m.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Commissioner O’Neal and seconded by Commissioner Pride.
