About the Department

Welcome to the Sharpsburg Police Department’s website. We have nine sworn police officers, including the chief, two sergeants and an investigator. We believe in working with the community to reduce crime and increase the quality of life in our Town. As a community it is vital that we work together to reduce the causes of crime such as substance abuse, poverty and joblessness.

We will work with our citizens to make them feel safe in their homes and businesses and to maintain confidence in our department. Through these efforts Sharpsburg will be a safe place to live, work and visit.
