Departments & Services
There are several departments utilized to provide services to the citizens of the Town of Sharpsburg. The Town Administrator oversees all Town Departments (to include Administration, Financial Services, Public Utilities, and Public Safety) and also oversees Community and Economic Development activities for the Town.
Further, the Town contracts with the Sharpsburg Fire Prevention to provide loss prevention and fire protection services.

The Administration Department includes the Town Manager, Town Clerk, and Utilities Department who work directly for the Board of Commissioners to promote, enhance and sustain the safety and quality of life for our residents, businesses, and visitors.

The Financial Services Department provides fiscal oversight and support services internally to Town Departments. Led by the Finance Officer and Assistant Finance Officer, the department periodically offers recommendations, submits policy changes and provides pertinent information for the strategic use of Town resources.

The Town of Sharpsburg Public Utilities Division is committed to maintaining the safety of employees and the well-being and the quality of life for our citizens. The Department is responsible for garbage collection, water and sewer services, parks, streets, recycling, mosquito control, maintenance, and operation of electric services.
